Mr. Challenge carried out a 2-month expedition across Mongolia doing social photography and producing documentary style films to support Organizations carrying out humanitarian projects aiming to help the local community.
Preference was given to those projects being performed by small organizations and individuals. This initiative will have a very positive socio-economic impact for dozens of local institutions fighting for a fairer world at in own countries.The ultimate goal is to extend a sentiment of hope and to inspire new humanitarian projects and social initiatives. The documentary style of the films will present the stories as highly moving and inspiring by showing ordinary people giving their best to fight for improving the human living conditions at their communities.
Having professional films and photographs will be remarkably beneficial for the Organizations since they will be free to use the material for their campaigns and official project submissions.
Mr. Challenge worked together with Buddhist organizations, orphanages and even visited the only women's prison in Mongolia.
Also there was special attention on supporting the local arts and culture.
After three intense weeks on Mongolia's capital city Ulaanbaatar working together with social workers, activists, artists and official representatves, Mr. Challenge spent five weeks exploring the country. He visited the Gobi down in the south; the Kazakhs at the far West where he filmed the Eagle Hunting Festival; up in the north next to the Russian border where he spent a week with a tribe of Reindeer herders and, finally, all the way East, where he found out the story of the Woman Warrior, which was published at The Huffington Post: Death of the Woman Warrior.
